Robert Azar has enjoyed a nearly four-decade-long successful career in international business at the executive level, specializing in Asian markets. Negotiating in Asia is his third book and follows numerous articles and reports published in the States and Asia. He has lived in the Far East for seven years, worked in Asian companies for ten years, and flown over a million miles flying to, from, and within Asia in service of clients. Robert launched his business career after completing a decade of formal academic training and field research in Asian political, economic and cultural affairs at New York University and Columbia University, and currently teaches international business at France’s world-ranked SKEMA School of Business as well as management at Elon University in the U.S. He has been interviewed as an expert on Asian business by major media such as BusinessWeek, The New York Times, CNN, and CNBC as well as TV and radio business programs in the Far East.
